Day 14: Cairo - Last Day

The trip to the airport was uneventful in that it was Friday and the roads were not crowded. When we got to the airport and had our luggage out on the trolly, we found that the plane was actually leaving from the new airport terminal, so we had to get back to the car and make our way around to the new terminal.

Actually, I liked the old terminal better. They had a great food court, and the new terminal has fewer food facilities and very expensive shops and everything is in USD. But, of course, the immigration facilities and the security are more modern. Anyway it was sad saying goodbye to Eman, but we had had a great trip and were ready to make our way to Dubai to stay overnight in the Dubai International Airport Hotel, and then fly home to Melbourne.
