Eman Massoud Hemida has been our guide on three separate trips to Egypt. We met Eman in 2007 as our guide on the Cairo portion of our trip. You can read about the wonderful adventures we had with Eman Massoud in the 2007 Egypt Diary.
She brought a level of expertise that we
did not expect to find. She can read hieroglyphics like
a newspaper, and showed such enthusiam and dedication to our tour
that we were made to feel very priviledged indeed.
Eman's guidance revealed her personal passion for Egypt's history
and its impact on the world. She is studying for her Master's degree
in Egyptology and conducts tours while she is studying.
In 2008 Joan took an 18 day personal tour as a side trip on our way around the world. Eman traveled with Joan and was the official guide for the Cairo portion. This trip is documented in the 2008 Egypt Diary. This was a special tour that focused on the artisans and craftsmen of Egypt. Eman has deep and special knowledge of the shops and byways of the Khan el Khalili.
In 2010, we returned to Egypt to focus on the Pyramids around Cairo. Eman helped set the itinerary for that trip and was once again our guide. You can read all about the Pyramids Tour in the 2010 Egypt Diary.
Eman Massoud has used her expertise and knowledge to open the world of Egyptian Antiquities for us. She is the perfect guide for us.
Her
great interest is the ancient sites and their conservation, and
she is very knowledgable about current activities in her field.
If you are looking for deep deep knowledge, then Eman is also the perfect
guide for you.
You can request Eman Massoud as your guide when you book a tour with Ramses Tours.

Here is some more praise for Eman Massoud from TripAdvisor.com:
"Eman, who was with us in Cairo, is a rock star, there's no other way to describe it. She was known by every ticket-taker and security guard in the city, and with a wink and a nod got us through more side doors and to the front of more lines than I can tell you. And if she isn't running the entire Ministry of Antiquities in twenty years, I will be very much surprised.

These aren't just guides mouthing off rote information or disinterestedly collecting a paycheck; they are passionate and erudite Egyptologists whose love of their field is both inspiring and deeply infectious.
We were around lots of other tours and lots of other guides and believe me when I tell you that Sam and Eman's academic and personal excellence were the exception, not the norm. I didn't feel like a tourist being herded around from temple to pyramid, I felt like someone being exposed to a wonderful and mysterious new world by dear friends."

We had a wonderful time in an overnight Cairo tour thanks to Ramses and our fantastic guide Eman Massoud Hemida and our great driver.
Eman was a wonderful guide and a delightful companion. Her knowledge was amazing. She was well known and loved by everyone at the various sights and was always able with a wink and a smile to get us into various places many times ahead of the line.
She may be small in stature, but mighty in personality and knowledge. We learned a great deal because of her and she made our experience very rich and memorable.
The Ramses organization delivered what they promised in a very professional way and a good price compared to the cruise line rates. We were very glad to have chosen Ramses and would recommend them, and Eman in particular, without any hesitation.
