Our private tour guide in Luxor was Hossam Rashwan. Hossam is a university educated, English speaking guide. He is extremely knowledgeable, hard-working, prompt, humourous, reliable, speaks excellent English, and provides very good value for his clients. During our week-long stay in Luxor, Hossam's easy manner and professional attitude made us feel very welcome, and confident that he was one of the best. We were quite amazed at the doors he opened for us. We were particularly impressed with his knowledge of the tombs and sites on the West Bank. Like many guides in Egypt, he is a private contractor and can be contacted directly to arrange and conduct individual or group tours anywhere in Egypt - Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Luxor, Alexandria, Western Deserts - anywhere at all.
