Karnak
The
Karnak temple complex is the largest ancient religious site in
the world, and it is second only to the Giza Pyramids near Cairo
as the most visited historical site in Egypt.
The main differences between Karnak and other temples
in Egypt is its size, and the length of time over which it was
developed and used. Construction work began in the 16th century
BC. Approximately thirty pharaohs contributed to the buildings,
enabling it to reach a size, complexity and diversity not seen
elsewhere.
Hossam's guidance added greatly to our understanding
and enjoyment of the layers of Karnak. We spent a whole day here,
but we only scatched the surface.

There is always time for discussion.
